The photos from the third day of the 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix are available in the “Multimedia” section under “Photos.” Formula 1 was taking place this weekend on the 16th and penultimate circuit of the season. The circuit is known for its technical difficulty and its counterclockwise layout. This season, the curbs are in the colors of the flag… blue, yellow, white, and the rain ultimately did not show up for all the sessions.
Photos are undoubtedly the best way to closely study the details of a Formula 1 single-seater and understand the aerodynamic innovations implemented by engineers. There’s no need to be an expert to assess a new wing.
At Interlagos, a very bumpy track, you have to love to turn. The downforce levels are therefore relatively high. The situation becomes even more complicated if rain appears… like today.
On the aerodynamics side, not much has changed since Japan. You have to look in detail at the sponsorship side, where Brawn GP is picking up bright red sponsors in abundance.
Today’s photos obviously relate to the Race and the podium. Relive the crowning of Button and Brawn GP as well as the podium finishes of Kubica, Hamilton, and Webber’s victory.
