Renault F1 Team is pleased to announce the start of a three-year partnership agreement with TW Steel, the Dutch watch manufacturer, which thus becomes the Official Timing Partner of the team.
The new partnership will take effect from the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix this weekend, and will last until the end of the 2012 season. The TW Steel logo will be displayed on the nose, the front wing flaps, and the sidepods of the R29. Starting in 2010, this logo will also be present on the timing screens as well as on the team uniforms and drivers’ suits.
Upon the signing of the agreement, Jean-François Caubet, Managing Director of the Renault F1 Team, commented: « We are very pleased to welcome TW Steel as the official timing partner of the Renault F1 Team for the next three years. We intend to forge a very dynamic relationship with TW Steel as we reaffirm our goal: to compete at the highest level. This partnership will be beneficial for TW Steel as well as for the Renault F1 Team, and it confirms our optimistic outlook for the future. To mark the beginning of this partnership, a photocall will take place on Friday, October 30th in Abu Dhabi, just before the first practice sessions, in front of the Renault F1 Team garage.
