USF1 will establish its European base at Motorland Aragon

The American team USF1, which will make its entry in Formula 1 next season, has finally chosen the location for its European factory. The team, whose headquarters are based in Charlotte, USA, will develop its car and logistics in Europe, in Alcaniz, in central Spain.

The American headquarters will thus handle team management, marketing, and general decisions, while the development of the single-seaters, the simulators, and the logistics center will logically be based in Europe, where every F1 team has a foothold.

The choice of team is strategic due to its location since the new development center will be based less than two hours’ drive from the Circuit de Catalunya, where most of the winter testing takes place. However, the Motorland complex includes other facilities, and a private circuit with numerous possible configurations has been developed by Hermann Tilke.

« The Motorland complex in Aragon is ideal for carrying out our European operations, » commented USF1’s sporting director, Peter Windsor.

« Due to its location and weather, along with its mechanical heritage and various track configurations, Motorland provides us with the perfect conditions to prepare for our first Formula 1 season. »

The complex includes three internationally approved circuits: dirt, karting, and F1. A technology center and companies specialized in motor racing are also located there.
