Official: Campos signs with Bruno Senna for 2010

After the release of evidence concerning an agreement between Bruno Senna and the new F1 team, Campos Meta 1, Enrique Rodriguez De Castro, its director, officially announced the contract today. The Brazilian driver, with the legendary name of Senna, will therefore be part of Campos for 2010. He will join Spaniard Pedro de la Rosa, currently a test driver at McLaren-Mercedes.

Bruno Senna indirectly revealed it last night on his Twitter page by thanking his fans and family, and Enrique Rodriguez confirmed it this morning in Abu Dhabi. An agreement has been reached between the two parties. The Spaniard comments: « For Campos Meta 1, it is an extraordinary honor to sign with the Senna name in Formula 1. This contract confirms and strengthens our main goal of being the first Hispanic team in Formula 1. »

For his part, Senna confessed to being delighted by the news: « I am on cloud nine. It’s a waking dream. Now that I am in F1, I will have to find even more challenging goals to achieve. It will first be necessary to ensure that the Campos Meta 1 project is successful both on and off the track. »

Bruno Senna was the first to officially confirm his place in F1 yesterday by announcing on Twitter, a very popular social network in Brazil, (that) he had finally signed the contract and is now actively preparing for the 2010 season. The Brazilian, while thanking his loved ones, did not mention any team name in his brief message. Rumors also had him going to Renault in place of Romain Grosjean, but it is ultimately with Campos that the Brazilian will continue his rise in motorsport. He will be accompanied by the experienced Pedro De la Rosa.
