Fernando Alonso visited his new team, Scuderia Ferrari, for the first time yesterday. The double world champion (2005 and 2006) is still under contract with Renault. He will not be able to test for Ferrari until the ban on testing with the French team is lifted next February. However, he went to Maranello to meet his new colleagues.
Alonso had meetings with the team boss Stefano Domenicali, Ferrari engineers, and President Luca di Montezemolo. He also visited the wind tunnel to observe the progress on the 2010 car.
He also took to the Fiorano test track driving an Italian road car, the Ferrari 458.
