The Renault F1 Team announced yesterday that the MOV’IT brand will appear on the R30 cars of the team starting from the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix. The MOV’IT logo will be placed on the nose of the R30.
Based in Germany, MOV’IT develops high-performance brake systems for sports cars, racing, and safety, as well as for manufacturers of ultra-high-performance cars. MOV’IT brake systems employ a unique manufacturing process for their carbon-ceramic discs, providing a real advantage over competitors in terms of weight, power, and endurance.
Over the past fifteen years, MOV’IT has formed partnerships with a large number of leaders in the automotive industry. The arrival of MOV’IT on the Renault F1 Team’s single-seaters represents a new step forward to increase the visibility of the high-tech brand to a global audience.
One of the main motivations for our investment in the Renault F1 Team was to use the sport as a powerful business-to-business platform and create synergies with the companies in our partner network, comments Gérard Lopez, President of the Renault F1 Team.
« MOV’IT and the F1 product are a perfect match. This partnership illustrates how we can use F1 as a commercial tool for our network of partners. Furthermore, the brand’s appearance on the car in Bahrain could not be more appropriate: Sakhir is one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar for brakes. »
« We are happy to be part of the Renault F1 Team’s partner network, » commented Frank Scherer, CEO of MOV’IT. « Stopping an F1 car in a very short time and over the shortest possible distance is a real challenge. The specifications related to the quality of the materials we use, our research, and our knowledge of the field are in perfect alignment with Formula 1. This expertise is integrated into all MOV’IT brake systems. »
