The Renault F1 Team expressed its sincere condolences to the Polish nation following the air disaster that claimed the life of the country’s President, Lech Kaczynski, as well as his wife and many other passengers.
Robert Kubica, Polish driver, spoke:
« I am deeply shocked and saddened by the news of this tragedy, unprecedented in the history of our country. A day of remembrance for the victims of Katyn has today become one of the most painful mourning for the people of Poland. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of the victims and my thoughts are with each of my Polish compatriots affected by this tragedy. »
