Max Chilton and Jules Bianchi both discovered the Buddh circuit today. On a demanding track, the two drivers felt quite at ease and seem confident in their battle at the back of the grid with Caterham. Marussia even brought new parts here, proving that development at the bottom of the standings hasn't stopped and that the fight for the last places could be very interesting to follow at the end of this season.

Ferrari is not Red Bull's main rival at Buddh. This morning, Fernando Alonso was stuck in the pits due to a gearbox problem, which didn't seem to disrupt their program too much. The goal will be to perform well in qualifying to aim for a good result on Sunday.

While a threat was looming over the organization of Sunday's Indian Grand Prix due to a petition filed by an activist with the Supreme Court of India, the court has decided to postpone the review of this complaint, which was supposed to take place today, to a later date. Therefore, the Grand Prix will proceed as usual.

The second practice session of the 2013 Indian Grand Prix produced a hierarchy relatively similar to recent races, with both Red Bulls leading ahead of Romain Grosjean's Lotus. However, KERS issues and tire degradation on the Red Bull cars seem to worry the world champion team, whereas, conversely, the Lotus seems capable of preserving the soft tires.

During an initial cleaning session of the very dusty track, it was the Red Bulls that proved to be the fastest, with Sebastian Vettel leading Mark Webber by two-tenths.
